After Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal completes his second term, he will join the University of Wyoming College of Law as a distinguished visiting professor. Freudenthal's appointment will begin in the spring of 2011 and he will lead a seminar in energy, law and economics for three semesters according to UW spokeswoman Jessica Lowell.  Freudenthal is a 1980 graduate of the UW College of Law and said he is looking forward to his upcoming time at the university.

UW President Tom Buchanan said he is honored that Freudenthal accepted the invitation and that Freudenthal's addition to the faculty is a tremendous opportunity for UW students.

Freudenthal entered private practice after his graduation from law school and was appointed U.S. attorney for Wyoming in 1994 and remained there until 2001. Before he was elected Governor, Freudenthal worked in the state Department of Economic Planning and Development as an economist.  It is anticipated that during his time in UW, he may also work on special projects with the UW School of Energy Resources and the UW College of Business.
