The final scheduled nighttime closure of Interstate 80 for the installation of Overhead Dynamic Message Signs will take place late tonight and early tomorrow morning.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation says a closure will occur at milepost 308.6 in the westbound lane. This is approximately two miles west of Laramie

Crews will be installing an Overhead Dynamic Message Sign, and road closure times will .be 11 p.m. to midnight, 1 a.m. to 2 a.m., and 3 a.m. to 4 a.m.

This is the final scheduled nighttime closure on Interstate 80 during this construction season to allow for the installation of  the signs.

WYDOT has focused on installing these signs in locations where road sections commonly experience unpredictable weather patterns.

The contractor for the entire project is Custom Lighting Service out of West Jordan, Utah. The cost is $ 2.2 million and it is paid for by Federal Funds.
