Facebook Catches Man Violating Probation

Most of us know that not all pictures should be posted on Facebook. I'm quite quick to delete or un-tag myself from a photo which is embarrassing or may not be appropriate for all of my Facebook friends to see. Luckily my decision making process usually boils down to if I think I appear to have a double chin, not if I think I could get sent to prison.

Apparently, this moment of judgement was never occurred in the mind of Scott W. Roby. He's been sentenced to two years in jail after his probation officer saw pictures of Roby drinking on his Facebook page. The Courier-Journal reports Roby was required to stay alcohol-free after being convicted of possessing methamphetamine and Ecstasy.

Roby actually invited his probation officer to be his friend on Facebook. That move certainly made the officer's job much easier.
