Deeper Cuts Needed To Wyoming State Budget, Study Says

Wyoming governor Mark Gordon released a new budget that shrinks the state's spending over the next two years.

Gordon's budget, he said, "keeps ongoing spending low; calls for a significant reduction in capital construction; employs a new approach to one-time spending; and limits the use of our rainy day fund solely for legislatively-mandated educational needs and local communities."

Wyoming Liberty Group, a Wyoming think tank, has a few suggestions the Governor Gordon might not have considered. Their ideas are being compiled and they plan to speak before government committees during the next legislative session.
