Dangerous Fire Weather For Southeast Wyoming Thursday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is again warning of extremely dangerous weather conditions for fires in southeast Wyoming on Thursday.
The service issued this warning early Thursday morning:
"Critical fire weather conditions expected today across much of southeast Wyoming as warmer temperatures, drier air and gusty west winds combine to create critical fire weather conditions. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for today from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT. Avoid outdoor burning as any fires that get started will spread rapidly as we've seen already with the Britania Mountain Wildfire northwest of Wheatland. The Britania Fire has now grown to just over 20 thousand acres with expected growth today."
