Some of Wyoming’s best Cross Country runners raced against the best of the Northwest US.

Eagle, ID (near Boise) was the host of the 2017 Cross Country Northwest Regional Meet, held on November 11th.

The top 2 placing clubs (based on score) of each gender, automatically qualify for nationals (December 2nd at Portland, OR), as well as the top 5 individuals not on automatic placing clubs (based on time) also qualify.

2017 Wyoming 3A Girls Cross Country State Champ Sydney Thorvaldson of Rawlins, 2017 Wyoming 4A Girls Cross Country State Champ Mackenzie Marler of Cheyenne East, and 2017 Wyoming 4A Girls Cross County State Runner Up Aubrey Frentheway of Cheyenne Central have both qualified for the national meet.

Albert Steiner of Laramie was 8th.

Asefa Wetzel of Star Valley was 17th.

Phillip Henry of Laramie was 24th.

Wesley Kallgren of Star Valley was 61st.

Peter Visser of Star Valley was 76th.

Derk Lyford of Laramie was 81st.

Trevor Clark of Star Valley was 107th.

Mason Swingholm  of Laramie was 132nd.

Jesse Loveland  of Star Valley was 133rd.

Jordan Tangeman of Laramie was 138th.

Dustin Brown of Star Valley was 169th.

Spencer Angell of Star Valley was 181st.

Kent Henry of Laramie was 196th.
