The University of Wyoming volleyball team will open up play in the Mountain West Tournament against New Mexico on Friday, Nov. 18 in New Mexico. The Cowgirls beat the Lobos in five sets just a little over a week ago, but this time, the loser goes home.

Wyoming (20-10, 9-5) enters the MW Tournament as the #4 seed after finishing conference play in a tie for third with TCU. They swept New Mexico (14-13, 6-8), the #5 seed, in regular season play.

Junior outside hitter Jodi Purdy leads UW, averaging 3.42 kills, 4.09 points and 3.20 digs per set. She ranks third in points, fourth in kills, sixth in service aces and ninth in digs in the league. She is followed by redshirt freshman Erin Kirby who is adding 1.76 kills and 1.20 blocks, while hitting .314. As a team, Wyoming is averaging 12.58 kills, 14.12 digs and 2.56 blocks per set.
