Clayton Savage Wins Mr. T Xtreme Bull Riding
Banner, Wyoming cowboy Clayton Savage took home the Mr. T Xtreme Bull Riding title for the second time on Thursday night.
Savage topped the leaderboard at the Albany County Fairgrounds with an 83.5-point ride on Tail Spot.
He had to wait until the fourth section of the event to ride his bull.
The Mr. T Xtreme Bull Riding brought in 40 cowboys to square off against some of the rankest bulls in the region.
Savage was the third rider up in that fourth section, and he made his ride pay off. Savage also won the Mr. T in 2015.
Arizona cowboy Robbie Taylor took second with an 80.5-point ride. Third place was split between Colorado’s Dillon Tyner and Arizona’s JaCauy Hale, who both turned in 79.5-point rides.
PRCA rodeo action takes center stage this weekend during Laramie Jubilee Days. The performances are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. There are no “finals” in LJD rodeo action, just three separate performances. There is also barrel racing slack at 9:30 on Saturday night following that evening’s rodeo performance.
