The 97th annual Wyoming State Amateur golf tournament wrapped up on Sunday in Cheyenne with Cheyenne Central alum Jared Edeen winning the championship flight.

Edeen finished at 7 under par with rounds of 71-69-69 to edge Lander native Trey Massey by 2 strokes. Massey carded rounds of 66-76 and 69. Edeen, who played hockey on the side in high school, now plays at the college level for the University of Wyoming. Ethan Cates who competed for Cheyenne Central took 3rd with Kirby Coe Kirkham from Sheridan 4th. Jordan Costello took 5th and is a Pinedale native who competes for the University of Utah. Two-time Wyoming state champion Blake Danni was 6th.

On the ladies side, 14-year-old Ali Mulhall who has ties to the Rock Springs/Green River area won the championship flight with rounds of 69-73 and 74. Former Natrona County high school grad and Wyoming Cowgirl competitor Caitlyn Skavdahl took 3rd.
