CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A cat that went missing in Alabama has been reunited with its owners in Wyoming.

Norm and Alice Shamion didn't plan on getting a cat, but then a litter of kittens showed up at their church in Florida. The Shamions were moving back to Wyoming in April when their 2-year-old tabby named Mitsi got loose from their son in law in Alabama.

Dozens of people who'd never met the Shamions began looking for Mitsi. Three weeks later, they found her.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports Mitsi got a ride to Wyoming with a granddaughter of the Shamions whose in-laws live in the South.
