Candlelight Vigil Tuesday to Mourn UW Student’s Death

University of Wyoming students will gather for a candlelight vigil on Fraternity Mall at 8 p.m. Tuesday to remember a classmate who passed away last week.

Ina Renee Goodman died of natural causes April 5, according to a UW release. The Cody native, who majored in both biology and environment and natural resources, was a member of the Chi Omega sorority and was set to graduate in May 2017.

Services for Goodman are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home in Laramie.

UW provides counseling services for those affected by Goodman’s death. The UW Counseling Center, located in Room 341 of Knight Hall, is open 8 a.m.-5p.m. Monday through Friday, and same-day appointments can be made in crisis situations. The office number is 766-2817, and anyone who experiences a crisis outside of regular business hours can call 766-8989 to request the counselor on call.
