UNDATED (AP) — A weekend in Cleveland seems to have been the perfect elixir for the Detroit Tigers.

The Tigers have a four-game winning streak after completing a sweep of the Indians, 10-4. Max Scherzer struck out eight while allowing a run and six hits in six innings, one start after surrendering 10 runs in four innings against Kansas City.

Miguel Cabrera hit a solo homer and had three RBIs for the Tigers, who broke it open with a seven-run fourth. J.D. Martinez and Nick Castellanos (kas-tee-AH'-nohs) each had two RBIs as Detroit stretched its lead in the AL Central to 2 ½ games over Kansas City.

The Royals have dropped four straight since taking the first three of a four-game series with the Tigers last week. Rookie Roenis Elias (roh-EH'-nehs EE'-lee-uhs) limited the Royals to one run and five singles over 6 2/3 innings of Seattle's 2-1 win at Kansas City. Mike Zunino homered in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie and allow Elias to improve to 7-5.
