At some point during tonight's NBA Draft, University of Wyoming standout Larry Nance, Jr. will likely hear his name called. The former Pokes star's stock is rising among scouts and some insiders are suggesting he might even sneak into the first round.

According to a USA Today article, the San Antonio Spurs could be one landing spot for Nance Jr. ESPN's Jeff Goodman is projecting him as a mid-second round pick. Other mock drafts have Nance Jr. going to the Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans or Dallas Mavericks in the second round.

In addition to participating in the recent NBA Draft Combine, Nance Jr. has also had private workouts with several teams, including the Spurs, Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers

If and when Nance Jr. is selected, he will become the first Wyoming product to be drafted since Theo Ratliff was chosen by the Detroit Pistons with the 18th overall pick in 1995.
