Lyman’s McKinley Bradshaw and Sheridan’s Parker Christensen were named the winners of the 2019 Milward Simpson Award Saturday in Cody.

Bradshaw earned 11 All-State honors in her prep career with the Eagles. She was the 2018 Wyoming Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year and a four-time All-State selection in hoops. Bradshaw led the Eagles to the Class 3A State Volleyball Championship last November. She earned three All-State honors in that sport. Bradshaw was also a four-time state champion in the high jump in outdoor track and field in Class 3A.

Christensen led the Broncs to two state football titles his sophomore and junior seasons. He was the 2018 Wyoming Gatorade Football Player of the Year as a senior. Christensen will play football on scholarship for Coach Craig Bohl at the University of Wyoming starting this fall. He was a three-time First Team All-State selection in football and added two All-State honors in basketball. Christensen helped the Broncs to the state basketball tournament for three straight years, including a pair of third-place finishes.

The other female finalists were Campbell County’s Rylee Hladky, Cody’s Paige Powell, Douglas’ Haedyn Rhoades, and Pine Bluffs’ Kammie Ragsdale.

Finalists on the male side included Burlington’s Dontae Garza, Cokeville’s Bentley Johnson, Glenrock’s Tucker Bopp, and Star Valley’s Asefa Wetzel.
