UNDATED (AP) — Jordan Zimmermann and Lance Lynn entered Wednesday's major league action looking to become the National League's first 11-game winners of the season. Only Zimmermann succeeded.

Zimmermann improved to 11-3 by allowing three hits over seven innings of the Nationals' 3-2 triumph over Arizona. He allowed a pair of first-inning runs before limiting the Diamondbacks to one hit over his final six frames.

Tyler Moore hit a solo homer and Anthony Rendon (rehn-DOHN') went 3-for-4 with a run scored.

The Nats are 12-3 when Zimmermann starts, 27-35 when he doesn't.
