Bohl Picks Miller To Coach Wyoming Football’s Offensive Line
The Wyoming Cowboy football team has a new offensive line coach. Head coach Craig Bohl announced the hiring of Bart Miller Wednesday.
Miller comes to UW from Ohio University, where he coached the Bobcats’ offensive line in 2018. Ohio finished last season 9-4 overall, went 6-2 in the Mid-American Conference East Division, and beat San Diego State 27-0 in the DXL Frisco Bowl.
Coach Miller has ties to the Mountain West Conference. He played at New Mexico from 2003-2007 and coached tight ends at Air Force in 2017.
In a released statement from University of Wyoming Athletics, Coach Bohl pointed to Miller’s experience in the MW.
“Coach Miller brings a great understanding of the Mountain West Conference having played for Rocky Long at New Mexico when they were a power football team and having coached at Air Force. Along with his background, he enjoys a great national reputation of being a power offensive line coach. We’re convinced he is going to be a great match for the University of Wyoming, playing Cowboy Tough football.”
Miller has also had coaching stops at Minnesota, Florida Atlantic, New Mexico State, and Wisconsin.
Miller said in a released statement, “This is a tremendous opportunity for me and my family. To be able to work with Coach (Craig) Bohl and his coaching staff and to get back in the Mountain West Conference is exciting. What has been accomplished at Wyoming the past several years is extremely impressive. I love the tough, physical style of play that Coach Bohl has brought to Wyoming. It fits with the type of system that I am used to coaching in. I’m looking forward to working with this staff and these players and competing for a Mountain West Championship. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
This fills the last opening on Coach Bohl’s staff. Miller replaces Klayton Adams, who was with UW for less than a month but took an opportunity with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts.
The veteran line coach is originally from Omaha, NE. Miller and his wife, Amy, have two sons.
