UNDATED (AP) — The Canucks spoiled Cory Schneider's return to Vancouver while keeping the New Jersey Devils winless this season.

Jason Garrison beat Schneider at 2:18 of overtime to give the Canucks a 3-2 victory over the Devils. Schneider finished with 29 saves against the team that traded him to New Jersey during this year's draft.

Goals by Jaromir Jagr (YAH'-roh-meer YAH'-gur) and Patrik Elias (EH'-lee-ahsh) gave the Devils a 2-0 lead, but the Canucks knotted the score on second-period tallies by Daniel Sedin (she-DEEN') and Alexander Edler.

Vancouver improved to 3-1 and dropped the Devils to 0-1-3.

The Philadelphia Flyers were winners in their first game under new coach Craig Berube (beh-ROO'-bee).

Brayden Schenn and Braydon Coburn scored to put the Flyers ahead 2-0 just 7 ½ minutes into their first win of the season, a 2-1 downing of Florida. Steve Mason stopped 33 shots and blanked the Panthers until Brad Boyes scored with seven seconds left in the second period.

The Flyers' first victory in four games comes a day after Peter Laviolette (lah-vee-ah-LEHT') was dismissed and replaced by Berube.
