Washington Reinstated To Cowboy Basketball Team
University of Wyoming men’s basketball coach Larry Shyatt announced on Tuesday that senior forward Leonard Washington has been fully reinstated to the Cowboy program. Washington was suspended indefinitely in April for not meeting “expectations and standards of the program.”
Wyoming Cowboy Basketball Announces 2012-2013 Schedule
The University of Wyoming men’s basketball team announced its 2012-13 schedule today. The Cowboys’ third season under head coach Larry Shyatt will feature eight Mountain West home games, in addition to 10 home games during the non-conference schedule. Game times and additional television games will be released at a later date.

Wyoming Basketball To Tour Canada
The University of Wyoming men’s basketball team hits the road on Sunday for a week-long trip to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as the Cowboys take their first foreign tour since 2006. UW will play three games as part of the 2012 Battle of the Border tournament, which features fellow NCAA Division I member Montana State and three Canadian schools.
Cowboy Basketball To Play Exhibition Game In Ethete
The University of Wyoming men’s basketball team will begin the 2012-13 season by hosting Fort Lewis College for an exhibition game at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31 in Ethete, Wyo. A collaboration between the Cowboys and the Nike N7 program, the contest will be played at the Wyoming Indian High School on the Wind River Reservation.
53% Of The U.S. In Moderate Drought Or Worse
The July 17, 2012, U.S. Drought Monitor map showed increases in the area of the United States in all categories of drought, setting a record for the third consecutive week for the total area of the country in drought during the 12-year history of the map. As of July 17, 53.17 percent of the country was in moderate drought or worse, up from 50.92 percent a week earlier.
16 Wyoming Counties Qualify For Disaster Declaration
The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, designated two more counties as primary natural disaster areas due to drought. This brings the total number of primary designation counties to eight while eight other counties qualify for assistance as contiguous to the primary counties.
Khadafy Skoal Inducted Into Pro Rodeo Hall Of Fame
Khadafy Skoal became the first Wyoming born-and-raised horse to be voted PRCA Bareback Horse of the Year in 1990 and went on to win the award twice more for Powder River Rodeo in 1995 and ’96.
