Alcohol a Possible Factor in Fatal Crash West of Wheatland
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says alcohol may have contributed to a deadly rollover west of Wheatland this morning.
Sgt. Jeremy Beck says the crash happened around 5:29 a.m. at milepost 31 on Wyoming 34.
Beck says 18-year-old Jonathan Vanwey was headed east when he lost control of his pickup and overturned it.
Vanwey and his passenger, 21-year-old Michael Driskell, were not wearing their seat belts and died at the scene.
The men, both from Wheatland, are the 52nd and 53rd people to died on Wyoming's highways this year.
