Albany County will be having it's annual Albany County Clean Up Day Saturday August 27th! The annual clean up day is a great way to clear out all the clutter acquired over the past couple months or even years. It also gives Laramie residents a chance to use the Laramie Landfill free of charge! Starting at 8am and going to 4:30pm, Laramie residents can bring trash, junk, tires, old appliances and batteries to the Laramie Landfill.

If you're tired of all the junk in your life that you no longer need then take some time out of your daily routine and take advantage of Albany County Clean Up Day! People taking part in Albany County Clean Up Day are responsible for getting their items to Landfill by themselves but will be able to use the landfill for free.

Household hazardous wastes will not be accepted. Some of those hazardous wastes include paint, oil, herbicides, pesticides as well as others. If questions or concerns arise you may contact the City of Laramie Hazardous Waste Program at 721-5279. Also, if hazardous wastes need to be disposed of you can schedule a drop off time with the Hazardous Waste Program.

Rock River residents can also take advantage of Albany County Clean Up Day! Rock River's dump truck will be at the Rock River Landfill during their normal hours Saturday August 27th from 9am-3pm to collect tires only. Only car and light truck tires will be accepted! Once the truck is full of tires  they will be transported to the Laramie Landfill. All other items from Rock River residents must be taken to the landfill by the owner.

The Albany County Clean Up Day is sponsored by Albany County in partnership with the Laramie Rivers Conservation District and the City of Laramie. For any questions contact Gary Wilken with the Albany County Planning Office at 307-721-1867 or 307-721-2568.
