Albany County Assessor Reviewing Damage from Wednesday Tornado Activity
The Albany County Assessor's office is reviewing the area where the tornado hit with the National Weather Service and Emergency Management to assess damage to property.
The assessor’s office is asking that anyone that has had property damage from the tornado contact the assessor’s office at 721-2511, so that their team can assess the damage.
According to Albany County Emergency Management, the tornado was spotted at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday in Albany County North of Laramie. It touched down for about 30 minutes and caused damage to structures, power poles, power lines and fencing. Law enforcement and fire department personnel are also continuing to survey damage within the affected area.
There have been no reports of personal injury at this time. Albany County Emergency Management will release additional information Thursday afternoon.
