It's hard to believe that Wyoming was once underwater, a hot spot for dinosaur and home to some of the creepiest creatures.

The history in Wyoming is quite incredible and every day there are more discoveries that add to the lure of this state. If you were to take a trip to Thermopolis today, you could dig for dinosaur bones, you could visit the Tate Geological Museum, check out the Glenrock Paleontological Museum or you could even stumble on a new discovery that would cement the wild history of the state.

1995 was a big year for me personally, it was the year I would graduate high school and begin my journey through the radio world. 1995 was also a big year for Paleontologist here in Wyoming.

Fossils were discovered of a 'snaky croc-faced' sea monster that once lived in an ancient seaway that we now call Wyoming. It's amazing that it has taken nearly 30 years of research, studying and information collecting to be able to release the information, but discoveries like these take time, energy and dedication.

A new study published this week in the journal iScience, information was finally to the point it could be published about the find from the mid 1990's.

Scientist named the newly found Plesiosaur, Serpentisuchops pfisterae, which translates to 'Snaky Crockface'. The remains have been on display for quite some time at the Glenrock Paleontological Museum, but the information has been developing for the last 27 years.

Studies on the 23 foot creatures remains have been done for over two decades and the results are remarkable. The report, that can be found at iScience, sheds new light on the newly found creature.

Can't even begin to imagine what it would've been like to be here when some of the creatures once roamed the earth.

Check out this video that describes what scientist feel the sea monster was like during it's time on earth 101 million to 66 million years ago.
