Anthony Villasenor died Sunday after the van he was a passenger in slid and rolled off Interstate-80 six miles west of Rawlins. Villasenor was one of 11 occupants and seven children in a Chevy van which was returning to Utah after visiting relatives in Maryland according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The driver, 21-yr-old Jennifer Lendeborg was the only one wearing a seat belt.

Lendeborg lost control of the vehicle just after 6 a.m. due to speeding too fast for the icy conditions on westbound I-80. The van went off the roadway on the right side where it went into a broadside slide counter clockwise then rolled 1 1/4 time.  Villasenor was partially ejected during the rollover and was trapped under the vehicle.  He was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County in Rawlins. The other ten passengers in the vehicle were all treated and released.

Lendeborg has been cited for children not being in seat belts or child restraints. Upon completion of the crash investigation all information will be turned over to the Carbon County District Attorney's Office. They will make the final decision on the filing of additional charges.
