1.5 Million Dollar Lottery Ticket Sold in Rawlins
Somebody hit a big jackpot after buying a winning Cowboy Draw lottery ticket in Rawlins. Lottery officials say the winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, matched all five numbers for a prize of more than 1.5 million dollars. The ticket was purchased by a Wyoming resident at the Hilltop Conoco in Rawlins for the October 17th draw.
Lottery officials say the winner was a regular player, but this time around purchased quick pick tickets instead of their usual favorite numbers. The jackpot amount has been rising since the last jackpot win on June 30 of this year, and was the second largest jackpot in the game’s history. Since Cowboy Draw launched in March 2015, Wyoming’s own game has celebrated eleven jackpot wins with four of those exceeding a million dollars.
WyoLotto CEO Jon Clontz said that he is so excited for a Cowboy Draw winner. “Any day you have the opportunity to tell a WyoLotto player that they’ve won more than a million dollars is an exciting day. It’s also a chance to celebrate Hilltop Conoco for selling the ticket, and a perfect time to recognize all of the amazing retailers who bring the fun and excitement of WyoLotto to the public each and every day.”
Cowboy Draw winners have been notching wins across the state, bringing home $14,880,713 in total winnings. Cowboy Draw has totaled 1,484 winners since the game launched.
Rawlins residents are invited to join WyoLotto on October 21 from 10:30 a.m. - noon at the Hilltop Conoco for a party to celebrate the big win, including Cowboy Draw prizes and UW football ticket giveaways.
