After four unsuccessful attempts, the Wyoming Cowgirls finally got their first win on the road in Mountain West Conference play Wednesday night. They won at San Diego State over the Aztecs, 69-60.

In a thriller at the Arena-Auditorium, the Wyoming Cowboys knocked off a top-5 ranked opponent for the first time in 16 years Tuesday night. The Pokes toppled the #5 San Diego State Aztecs by a final of 68-62.

Still searching for that elusive first conference road win of the season, the Wyoming Cowgirls are back in action Wednesday, February 12 at San Diego State. The game is set for a 7 p.m. start, Mountain time.

If the Cowboys can pull off an upset tonight, trust me, being groggy at work or school Wednesday morning will be worth the memory.

For the first time this season, a Wyoming women’s basketball player has earned Mountain West Player of the Week honors. Sophomore Marquelle Dent was given the award for games played from Feb. 3-Feb. 9. It’s the first weekly honor for Dent in her career.

Larry Nance, Jr. scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but his shot to tie the game and force overtime with less than five seconds left in regulation was no good. It allowed the UNLV Runnin' Rebels to hold off the Wyoming Cowboys 48-46 in Las Vegas Saturday night.

The Wyoming Cowgirls won consecutive games in the Mountain West for the first this season with an 82-56 blowout of the UNLV Rebels Saturday at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie.

In a battle to the very end, the Wyoming Cowboys came up short in overtime to the New Mexico Lobos for the second time this season. The Lobos pulled out a 66-61 victory in overtime Wednesday night in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
