Hilltop Christian Child Care and the Wyoming School of Gymnastics are closed today.

All schools in Albany County School District 1 will begin two hours after normal start on Thursday, Jan. 5.

At least five tractor-trailers have been blown over and are blocking lanes. I-80 was closed to light, high-profile vehicles at the time of the incidents. Winds speeds exceeding 60 miles per hour have been reported in areas between Laramie and Walcott.

Road conditions throughout southeastern Wyoming vary, with WYDOT advising no unnecessary travel on several stretches of highway.

UPDATE (2:00 pm) The Eastbound lanes of I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne have opened. The interstate is still wet and slick in spots.
