The 4A East conference showdown between #1 Gillette and #2 Laramie didn't quite go the Plainsmen's way as they lost to the Camels 68-49. The Plainsmen still hold their second place spot in the east conference standings thanks to their 73-67 win at Sheridan on Friday night.

Laramie (15-4) moved to 5-2 in conference play after their loss to Gillette. The Plainsmen trailed Gillette after the first quarter 18-14 and only trailed by seven at halftime 30-23. Laramie shot 50% in the first half but struggled the rest of the way only hitting 9 out of 27 shots for 33% in the second half. Sam Hainline led the Plainsmen with 16 points and Sam Feldman followed with 14 points.

Next up the Plainsmen travel to the Capital City to play Cheyenne South on Friday February 15. David Settle and Verdon Hoopes will call the action on KOWB. The broadcast begins with the girls game starting at 5:00 p.m.
