The Laramie High School volleyball team earned a much needed conference win Thursday night at Cheyenne South High School, beating the Lady Bison 25-9, 25-11, 25-17.

"I think what it came down to was our serving," said LHS Head Coach Trisha Witkop. "Our serving was really strong tonight. We had some misses, but they were aggressive and definitely something that got us off on the right foot."

Laramie (1-3, 9-7) tallied up 5 aces against South (0-3, 1-13) and kept them off the attack for much of the night. Madison Legerski led the way for LHS with 11 kills and 10 digs. Emily Pearson also had 10 digs to go with 7 kills while Lily Gabriel put down 8 kills and Jamie Rhodine had 19 assists.

The Lady Plainsmen have the weekend off before taking on Cheyenne East on Tuesday night in Laramie at 6:30 p.m. Coverage will begin on KOWB at 6:20 p.m.
