After a close first half, Wyoming couldn't keep pace with TCU and suffered their first Mountain West Conference loss, 68-47, at the Arena-Auditorium Wednesday night.

The Cowgirls pulled within one point early in the second half, but then two Wyoming turnovers turned into two buckets for TCU, who used the spark to go on an 11-0 run.  Despite 14 second half points from Chaundra Sewell, the Cowgirls could not pull within single-digits of the Horned Frogs through the rest of the game.

There were 6 lead changes before Wyoming went into halftime down 27-24.  Aubrey Vandiver led all scorers at the half with 11 points.  Hilary Carlson's 6 points from the first half would be all she would get in the game, as TCU held the current Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week scoreless in the second half.

Sewell led the Cowgirls with a game-high 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.  Vandiver finished with 16 points, 4 boards and 2 assists.

Wyoming (11-4, 2-1) shot only 36.5 percent from the field, went 2-for-19 in 3-point range, hit 53.8 percent of their free throws and turned the ball over 15 times.

TCU (11-6, 3-0) had six players score 7 or more points.  Delisa Gross led with 11 points followed by Starr Crawford with 10 points and 9 rebounds.  The Horned Frogs out-rebounded the Cowgirls 32-to-31 and got 11 steals.
