Award Winning Gaelic Singer Julie Fowlis Performs In Laramie

The Fine Arts Concert Hall will host another award winning vocalist this weekend with the vocal performance of Julie Fowlis. The Gaelic Ensemble performance will begin at 7:30pm Sunday, November 6th. Fowlis is a native of Scotland and was named both Gaelic Singer of the year for 2007 and the BBC’s Folk Singer of the Year in 2008.

Julie Fowlis’ top honor was the honor of becoming Scottish Gaelic Ambassador by the Scottish Parliament. Fowlis has become widely known as the first Scottish Gaelic crossover star in the making according to The Daily Telegraph out of London.
