On September 10, 2011, Gem City Bone & Joint will host the 10th Anniversary "Always A Cowboy" 8K run and 5k walk in honor of the eight University of Wyoming cross country team members whose lives were taken on September 16, 2001. The race is eight kilometers for runners, to honor each of the eight athletes, and five kilometers for walkers. All proceeds from the race go to the University of Wyoming cross country teams.

Steve Kaiser from Gem City Bone & Joint joined David Settle and Steve Kiggins on Sportsline Live to discuss the details of the 10th Anniversay run. The race will start at Undine Park in Laramie with a later start time than past years, 9 a.m., since the Wyoming football game starts later in day.

Kaiser said they are in contact with some of the family members of the eight who were lost and are working on having many of them present for the race. Registration is not yet open for the race, but any businesses interested in sponsoring the event can contact Kaiser at the GCBJ physical therapy department by calling 721-8024.

Here is Kaiser's interview on Sportsline Live, talking about the 2011 "Always A Cowboy".
