Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp Recognized For Weight Loss Program
The Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp was recently recognized for their inmate weight loss program. The WHCC was selected over 500 other prisons, jails, juvenile detention and confinement centers.
Presented yearly, the award is given to only one facility. The Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp stood out among the rest and offers information on nutrition and diet as well as exercise and support. Exercise and nutrition are vital to living a health and long life. Being locked up could obviously make any person go through dramatic changes and adding onto the stress is the strict rules you must follow.
The WHCC program provides necessary information for nutrition and diet. To follow up on nutrition, diet and exercise the program also offers support for inmates who choose to improve the quality of their life. Robert Lampert, Director of the Wyoming Department of Corrections, hopes to encourage other state correctional facilities to offer similar programs.
