In anticipation of heavy traffic on Wyoming highways as folks head to Saturday's Mountain West Conference Championship in Laramie, the Wyoming Department of Transportation wants travelers to know that roads are ready for them.

WYDOT says weather is the only thing that could impact travel, but conditions are expected to be decent and the department is ready, just in case.

"If we do have weather we're prepared, as always," says District Engineer Tom DeHoff, who is based in Laramie. "We'll have workers on standby just in case and we'll be able to take care of anything that happens."

The department anticipates no delays due to construction or maintenance on I-80, WYO 287, WYO 487, WYO 34 and US 30.

"We want to make sure everyone gets to the game safely and gets home safely," DeHoff says.

The University of Wyoming Cowboys host the San Diego State University Aztecs. Kickoff is set for 5:45 p.m. Saturday in War Memorial Stadium.
