(Jayel Aheram via Flickr)

After a mental evaluation at the state hospital in Evanston, WY and a long awaited court hearing, Everett Conant III will indeed face charges in District Court. Circuit Judge Randal Arp ruled that the state’s case against Conant is strong. Conant is accused of shooting and killing his three sons and brother as well as attempting to kill his wife.

Initially, Conant had to undergo a mental evaluation at the state hospital in Evanston, WY over the summer. After yesterday’s ruling by Judge Arp, Conant’s lawyers say that they are not contesting that he is competent to face the charges.
