After a year long hiatus The Wyoming Air National Guard will once again resume their air show at Frontier Days this Wednesday July 27th.

The skies were empty and the mighty roar of jet engines screaming past were absent during last years Cheyenne Frontier Days. Due to a number of deployments and lack of funding the Wyoming Air National Guard was unable to present an air show last year, but fortunately this year none of those reasons apply.

This years air show will consist of military aircraft displays as well as parachute demonstrations and flyovers! Adding to the excitement will be the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds! The Thunderbirds have been a staple in Cheyenne Frontier Days air shows in the past and their performance is one that will stick in my memory forever. The high intensity event is surely one of the must sees during Cheyenne Frontier Days!

Watching fighter jets scream through the ski doing acrobatics and nail biting maneuvers is always fun but remember sun burns and crying children are not. Since the air show is an outdoor event remember to bring all the necessary items to make it an enjoyable morning.

Some easy to pack items include; sun-screen, any type of hat to help block the sun, sunglasses, lots of water, fold-able chairs, and ear plugs. Ear plugs come in especially handy if you have a little one around who might get frightened by the sound of jet engines!
