UW Fraternity and Sorority Life and Cloud 9 Raise Money For Coe Library
University of Wyoming Fraternity and Sorority Life and Cloud 9 Frozen Yogurt & Gourmet Coffee will raise money for UW Libraries Monday, March 23, from 6-9 p.m. During that time, 10 percent of all sales will be donated to Coe Library. Cloud 9 is located at 3236 Grand Avenue.
The fundraiser is during Greek Week, an annual event during which UW’s Interfraternity and Panhellenic Council members conduct philanthropic endeavors. Traditionally, Greek Week is geared toward philanthropic activities that support the entire community and, last year, the group raised funds for Relay for Life.
“Greek Week is an opportunity to unify the community around a single cause,” says Andrew Potter, UW student and Interfraternity Council director for public relations.
Other Greek Week events help to promote all-Greek relations and include team and chapter competitions.
“This year, we felt that it was important to give back to the campus community as a whole, as this is where we live and go to school,” Potter says. Officers from both councils decided to support the UW Libraries, which benefits all students attending the university.
