US Highway 26 Closed West Of Riverton Due to Flood Again
The snowmelt is making an encore and it’s once again affecting a major highway in and out of Riverton.
WYDOT has closed US Highway 26 between Diversion Dam Junction (US Highway 287) and Wyoming State Highway 132, due to flood waters that have covered the highway for the second time in as many weeks.
The closure is about 30 miles west of Riverton.
Detours by way of Ethete and Fort Washakie have been posted.
It is unknown how long the closure will last.
The previous closure lasted for 4 days.
