At 1:20 p.m. the National Weather Services reported a tornado touched down 9 miles south of Rock River and 27 miles northwest of Laramie.

  • AT 120 PM MDT... A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO WAS LOCATED 9 MILES SOUTH OF ROCK RIVER... OR 27 MILES NORTHWEST OF LARAMIE... MOVING NORTHWEST AT 15 MPH.
  • HAZARD... POSSIBLE TORNADO.
  • SOURCE... RADAR INDICATED ROTATION. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING TORNADOES.
  • IMPACT... FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED. DAMAGE TO ROOFS...WINDOWS AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR. TREE DAMAGE IS LIKELY.
