Photos Of Wyoming’s Vietnam Fallen Wanted

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum is seeking help in finding more than 40 photos to match the names of Wyoming service members killed in Vietnam.

Photos will be displayed at the Education Center, at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, in Washington, D.C.

Doobie Brothers Drummer, Michael Hossack Dies in Wyoming

Known for their catchy melodies, smooth harmony and driving beats, The Doobie Brothers were one of the most popular and commercially successful bands of the 1970s. Much of this success, and certainly much of that driving beat came in large part from longtime drummer Michael Hossack, who died this week at his home in Dubois, Wyo.

NBA Owners Donate Millions to Vietnam Memorial Project

NBA team owners Michael Heisley of the Memphis Grizzlies and Peter Holt of the San Antonio Spurs have made the largest private donations toward a project that will honor the 58,000 veterans killed during the Vietnam War and be located on the site of the Washington, D.C. memorial.

Holt, a decorated Vietnam vet who contributed $1 million and will match any donations made by other Texas residents, said, “We want to create an education center that puts faces to the names on that wall, but also help people understand as less and less people serve in the military what the military has done for the United States.”
