The United States Postal Service is still working on ways to reduce their financial deficit. Members of Congressional committees as well as the House Appropriations  committee, which Lummis is part of received letters from the U.S. Postal Service asking to support changes being made.

Due to budget shortfalls the U.S. Postal Service is proposing to shut down nine post offices around the state of Wyoming.
