Doobie Brothers Drummer, Michael Hossack Dies in Wyoming
Known for their catchy melodies, smooth harmony and driving beats, The Doobie Brothers were one of the most popular and commercially successful bands of the 1970s. Much of this success, and certainly much of that driving beat came in large part from longtime drummer Michael Hossack, who died this week at his home in Dubois, Wyo.

In the year 2000 we were told that an old friend, Chris Ledoux , was diagnosed with liver disease and had to have a liver transplant. The transplant was successful and Chris went back to work putting out 2 more albums before being diagnosed with liver cancer. That diagnosis came in December 2004 and because of complications due to the disease, Chris Ledoux died at the Wyoming Medical Center March 9th, 2005.

Cheyenne Frontier Days has announced the completion of the 2012 Frontier Nights lineup with Merle Haggard along with special guest Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band on Sunday, July 22. Merle Haggard is one of the most celebrated country singers of all time, having written hundreds of songs including the classics “Sing Me Back Home,” “Okie From Muskogee,” “Silver Wings” and “Today I Started Loving You Again,” among others.
