A High Wind Warning has been issued for an area that includes the summit between Cheyenne and Laramie starting this evening and going into Tuesday.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its Facebook page:
"High Wind Watches have been upgraded to High Wind Warnings...
Wind gusts of up to 65 mph combined with the snow on the ground from this week's storm are making for hazardous conditions on Interstate 80 between Laramie and Rawlins.
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued High Wind Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories for southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle this weekend.
Heavy mountain snow combined with wind gusts as high as 60 mph could make travel "very difficult" in southeast Wyoming Friday and Saturday, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne says.
