Swedish Artist to Perform at The Crowbar and Grill
An up and coming Swedish singer and songwriter will play at The Crowbar and Grill on Saturday, September 1st. Sophia Talvik will begin the show at 8 p.m. Saturday night.
Talvik has a soft and airy voice which she uses in her self-written, folk-type songs. Using minimal instrumentals in her songs, her music focuses primarily on the lyrics and her voice. Her lyrics bring memories of love, heartbreak and even share some stories from her life.
The Crowbar and Grill is one of many stops Talvik has scheduled throughout her tour. The young Swedish artist began her tour of North America in November 2011 and has been touring the U.S. ever since.
This event marks the first indoor gig hosted by the Crowbar and Grill since its opening earlier this summer. The show is completely free. No cover will be charged and you will not need a ticket to enter the show. The Crowbar and Grill will still provide its regular food and bar service while Talvik plays, and the daily specials will still be available. Seating, however, may be limited for the event as Talvik will be playing in the regular bar seating area.
The debut of The Crowbar and Grill as an indoor music venue comes at a great time. With Labor Day coming up, this is a great event for those who want to get out and enjoy the holiday weekend without leaving town.
