A weekend of thunderstorms in Albany County caused the Laramie River to reach its highest point this year. The National Weather Service reported the Laramie River at Laramie was at 5.84 ft at 10:30 AM on Monday.

The Albany County Public Health Emergency Response Coordinator, Beth Young, says about 10 volunteers were called up to Centennial on Friday in anticipation of the surge in the Laramie River System. Young is continuing to monitor the situation in case more volunteers are needed.

The pictures below were taken late Monday morning while the Laramie River was near its highest point on the last day of spring.
