SEATTLE (AP) — The EPA wants the Army Corps of Engineers to do a thorough review of the impacts of exporting U.S. coal through Northwest ports. A subsidiary of Ambre Energy is planning to build a facility near Boardman, Ore., to ship coal from Montana and Wyoming to Asia. It needs approval from the Corps.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — A company trying to build the nation’s first new uranium mill in more than 30 years has agreed to buy the United States’ only existing conventional uranium mill. The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports that Energy Fuels Inc., which owns potential mining properties in Wyoming, plans to buy Denison Mines Corp.’s White Mesa Mill near Blanding, Utah.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Two people and a 2-year-old girl have been injured in a single-vehicle rollover in southeast Wyoming. The girl was still strapped in her child car seat when she was thrown from the vehicle yesterday morning near Pine Bluffs. Sgt. Stephen Townsend says the vehicle drifted off the side of the road and the driver overcorrected.

POWELL, Wyo. (AP) — The nonprofit group in charge of the Sleeping Giant Ski Area west of Cody is hoping to add a zip line, snow tubing area and a manager’s residence there. The Powell Tribune reports Shoshone National Forest personnel are seeking public comments on the proposals from the Yellowstone Recreations Foundation. Comments are due by May 18.
