A former standout is coming home. Mike Mendenhall has been hired as the new manager of the Laramie Rangers legion baseball program.

Mendenhall starred as a player for the Rangers from 2003-2005. He was part of two Laramie teams that finished runner-up at the 'AA' level of Wyoming American Legion baseball.

He brings with him coaching experience at both the college and legion levels of baseball. He even spent the 2011 season as an assistant with the Rangers.

Mike Mendenhall caught up with the "voice of the Laramie Rangers," David Settle, on Sportsline Live. They discussed Mike coming home; the state of the program; the choice to compete at the "AA" level; and Mendenhall's philosophy as a manager among numerous topics.
