Tuesday , the Laramie City Council held a workshop regarding the city's glass recycling options. With this issue, the council had  difficulty finding a balance between fiscal  and environmental responsibility. Glass recycling efforts would cost the city upwards of $17,000 annually. Due to the lack of viable options the council voted to continue the city's current practice of including glass with regular waste. According to Vice Mayor Paul Weaver,  they will review the issue in 6 months. During this time the council will explore the possibility of sharing the financial responsibility  with the University of Wyoming, WyoTech and commercial businesses.
