Laramie Jubilee Days PRCA rodeo action wrapped up on Sunday at the Albany County Fairgrounds with champions determined.

The big paydays went to ten cowboys and cowgirls across eight events.

Jubilee Days Bareback was won by Hayden, CO cowboy Keenan Hayes. The world leader in the PRCA standings in the event posted an 85-point effort on Summit Pro Rodeo’s Fallen Angel. He won $3,119. Hayes has won over $166,000 this year.

In steer wrestling, Arkansas cowboy Denell Henderson had the fastest time of the weekend with a 4.2-second run. He earned a paycheck of $1,838. He beat out Laramie’s own Blare Romsa, who took second with a run of 4.5.

Cheyenne’s Zane Murphy and Craig, Colorado’s Dusty Taylor won the team roping crown thanks to a 4-and-5 effort. Each cowboy cashed in a payday for $2,493.

Utah cowboy Allen Boore won the Saddle Bronc riding with an 85.5-point ride aboard Summit Pro Rodeo’s Hero. The No. 36 ranked Bronc rider earned $3,347.

A payout of $2,584 was won by Oklahoma cowboy Hunter Herrin. Ranked No. 5 in the world standings, he posted a quick run of 8.7 seconds for first place in the tie-down roping.

Texas cowgirl Kelly Allen, who is No. 10 in the world standings and No. 9 in the most recent update to the WPRA playoff series standings, won the barrel racing title with a run of 17.24 seconds. She earned $2,969.

In bull riding, there was a tie for the top spot. Florida cowboy Ernie Courson Jr., No. 14 in the world standings, rode Summit Pro Rodeo’s Bandit to 86 points. He was tied by Arizona cowboy JaCauy Hale, who is 48th in the world standings. He posted 86 points on Summit Pro Rodeo’s No. 862. Both Cowboys took home $1,729.

Finally, in breakaway roping, New Mexico cowgirl Nicole Baggarley posted a run of 2-and-3 for $2,669 and the win in that event. She's currently 13th in the world standings with over $40,000 in winnings this year.

The all-around cowboy was Oklahoma cowboy Paul Tierney. He won $1,910. Tierney added to his over $50,000 winnings so far in 2023, which has him No. 8 in the world rankings. He competed in tie-down roping and team roping.

The total payout at the Laramie Jubilee Days PRCA rodeo was $94,411. The stock contractor was Summit Pro Rodeo from Centennial, WY.

There are no finals for LJD rodeo action, only three separate performances. Slack for some timed events was held last Friday morning and Saturday night.
