BLMCD Sets 2018 Mosquito Control Meeting

The Big Laramie Mosquito Control District (BLMCD) has set their annual meeting for June 20th at 7 p.m.

The meeting will take place at Harmony Elementary School, located at 20 Lewis Road, off of Highway 230. County residents attending the meeting will have the opportunity to find out if their property will be included in spray program that is scheduled to begin in early July.

According to a BLMCD press release, the meeting will also include information about West Nile and Zika viruses, as well as additional information about protection from their respective carriers and a financial report on the program.

Also noted in the press release is that the program is partially covered by resident tax dollars, but that it depends upon the “voluntary financial support of all residents and landowners within the spray area.”
