Anti-Abortion Protests Set To Begin In Jackson
JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Anti-abortion activists are beginning a round of demonstrations in Jackson.
A Milwaukee-based group, Missionaries to the Pre-Born, plans protests on Monday.
Operation Save America plans to stage events next week. The Jackson Town Council gave the group permission to use town square from May 16-18 before the Boy Scouts and the chamber of commerce hold their annual Elkfest there.
The demonstrations follow a recent Wyoming Supreme Court ruling in favor of protesters.
Jackson Mayor Mark Barron says his community will respect the right of protesters to express their beliefs while ensuring public safety.
